With over 30 years of creative experience, Ronita MWD stands as a visionary lead designer and seamstress, hailing from the Bay Area. A self-taught gem, her journey in the world of fashion began at the young age of 8, where she discovered her passion for sewing by crafting clothes and patterns for her beloved cabbage patch dolls, even emulating the iconic style of L.A. Gear.

As a fashion major at The Academy of Arts in San Francisco, Ronita's talent blossomed further, leading her to a captivating role as a choreographer with IML Germany. Immersed in the realm of entertainment, she was exposed to awe-inspiring fashion trends, constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity. While dance and performance took center stage in her career, fashion always remained a vital force, often becoming the core element in her choreographed spectacles.

 

Upon returning to the United States, Ronita ventured into styling and costuming local artists and actors for diverse platforms and performances. As her expertise grew, she graced runways across California and Georgia, realizing her exceptional strength lay in creating elegant attire that exuded timeless beauty.

 

In 2015, Ronita officially launched her own fashion line, BLVK Etiquette LLC, catapulting her into the role of lead designer for one of the most esteemed bespoke special occasion brands in the Bay Area. Inspired by the versatility of the color black, her philosophy revolves around achieving the perfect fit for every woman. She firmly believes that everyone deserves to look and feel amazing in their clothes, regardless of shape or size. Her designs transcend the constraints of plus or petite size fashion, rejecting societal norms, and empowering women to embrace their authentic beauty.
